Welcome to the Calindora home page. Some of you are no doubt wondering just what Calindora is. In essence, it's the amalgamation of my various web sites into one, slightly more coherent, entity. Of course, as a result, a number of the less important web pages I previously had online no longer exist. C'est la vie, ma chère. Of course, any number of them may return in time. In any case, there are still a couple of points of interest available here for your perusal:
Hosting
If you're interested in shared web hosting, please send me an inquiry via e-mail naming your requirements and budget, and I'll see what I can do. You're much more likely to get a favorable response if I know you.
On the other hand, if your site has grown too large for shared web hosting (a goal we all strive for), I wholeheartedly recommend a VPS from either Linode or Slicehost. Both are excellent services, though at this point, I think Linode has the slightly better offering.
Custom Title MOD for phpBB
Back in 2002, I wrote a modification for phpBB 2 called the Custom Title MOD, which allowed users (or administrators) to set their own custom rank. This MOD proved to be wildly popular, and when phpBB 3 was released a few years later, I completely rewrote the MOD for that version. However, I've long since personally lost interest in this MOD, so support and development were accordingly neglected. Indeed, within a few phpBB versions, I expect that new features in phpBB itself will make this modifcation largely obsolete.
The latest version is currently 2.0.0-rc1 and is available for download There are no known bugs in this version. If you believe you have found a genuine bug, send me an e-mail and I'll happily try to confirm it. The support thread is currently at phpBB.com.
